First off, this bar is one of the hardest to get into out of all the 14th street bars. If you're younger than 21 with an ID that you didn't spend that much money on, and looks closer to the "I am 12" ID from benchwarmers, you should probably just avoid this bar completely.
The Bull is basically one single giant room, with one long bar on on side of the wall. When its warm enough, there is a patio area that nearly doubles the size of the bar, with seating around the edges and an outdoor bar. The Bull is full of TV's everywhere, inside and out, as its a favorite destination spot to watch the Jayhawks play, or any major sporting event. It is typically the destination you'll end up during the night of the game, and if you're feeling chatty; with little to no room in the bar its hard to get enough space to get your groove on. There is a DJ and depending on the DJ he could play EDM music, old classic hits all the way to the latest hip/hop and rap music.
The Bull is all about coming with a good group of friends, at least two and up to five is the sweet spot for how many people you should roll with to this bar. Having conversations and busting out any dance moves that is physically possible with your friends can make for a great night. Meeting new people at this bar is probably the easiest out of any bar, as it is usually filled to the brim with people, so its fairly easy to strike up a conversation with nearly anyone.
The drinks are what people also come for, as it has one of the most famous drinks in all of Kansas, the Moose Bowl. Typically eight dollars, and five on Thursdays, it makes for an immediate jump to your night. No one knows what the drink is made up of, but its sweet, blue, and gets you to where you need to be quickly. Also all other drinks are reasonably priced, nothing more expensive than any other bar close by, three bucks for mixed drinks, five for doubles, one to three dollar shots and reasonable beer prices.
All in all, Bullwinkles is one of my favorite bars to go to in Lawrence, you're always guaranteed a great time. I suggest if you've never been, gathering up a couple of your best friends and giving the bull a try for a night. Also, following them on social media is a must, as you can enter contests to win all kinds of things, and keep up to date on specials!
